COEP Robotics team stood 3rd at DRUSE 2018 competition

The Robotics team of COEP stood 3rd at DRUSE (DRDO Robotics and Unmanned System Exposition), a technology-based competition, based on conceptualization, design & development of Unmanned Systems for defence applications. 

 

The team won the prize for their project "Compressed Air Powered Human Exoskeleton Suit" under the theme Exoskeleton.

 

National DRUSE Competition was held at Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, Khadkwasla (DIAT)during 24th to 25th May 2018. About  1088 teams from across the country have participated in the first round, there after 162 teams qualified for the second round and in the National finale, 30 teams were competing from 6 zones of India.

 

COEP team was the winner from Central Zone.The prize consist of a trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 50,000/-

 

Mr. Bhushan Darekar (Final Year M.Tech Mechatronics), Mr. Prabhakar Naik, Mr. Jayant Unde (Final Year B. Tech, Mechanical Engineering), Mr. Sushant Soude (Second Year B. Tech, Mechanical Engineering) and Mr. Manthan Pawar (Third Year Production Engineering) were the team members and Dr. S. S. Ohol supervised and mentored the students.
