Pratibha – the Eaton Excellence Award is the first of its kind scholarship that aims to recognize exceptional women engineering students in leading engineering institutions in India, assessing them not only on academic excellence but also on the basis of their co-curricular achievements.

Eligibility Criteria and Selection Process
Eligibility Criteria
A. For Post-Graduate Students:
1. Applicants must be female students pursuing a master degree in engineering. Currently, the entry to the program is open only to students from the following colleges:
- Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur
- Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai
2. Students should have completed their first year of the Master’s degree OR their 4th year in case of a dual degree student by June 2014. Students from only the following fields of study are eligible:
- Aerospace Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Energy Science & Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Design
- Systems & Controls Engineering
B. For Under-Graduate Students:
1. Applicants must be female students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Currently, the entry to the program is open only to students from the following colleges:
- College of Engineering Pune
- Cummins College of engineering for Women, Pune
2. Students should have completed their third year of the bachelor’s degree by June 2014. Students from only the following fields of study are eligible:
- Mechanical
- Instrumentation
- Electronics and Telecommunications
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Electrical
All applicants must be students who are authorized to work in India without a visa sponsorship and plan to have a career in manufacturing/engineering.
Selection Process
For Round 1:
Criteria:
a. Excellence in academics (CGPA)
b. Involvement in community services
c. Achievements in co-curricular – sports, fine-arts, paper-presentation, etc
Evaluator: College TPO/HOD/Principal
Marks Allotted: 60% of total marks
For Round 2:
Criteria: The final project submission
Evaluator: Eaton employee team
Marks Allotted: 40% of total marks
Winner Declaration:
The winners will be declared at your college over a dinner hosted by Eaton in the presence of the scholarship holders, the Principal, HODs and the Eaton leadership team.
