Talk of Professor N. Vedachalam

Professor N. Vedachalam, Distinguished Scientist Emeritus of ISRO will be visiting COEP on 10th and 11th October 2012.  Professor Vedachalam is a legend with in depth knowledge and understanding from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics to Aerospace, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer engineering, a totally interdisciplinary scientist.  Hence even after his formal retirement from ISRO more than a decade ago, he still continues with ISRO and serves on several committees of DST. He is probably the only person associated with all 100 missions of ISRO.

Professor Vedachalam will interact with COEP Student Satellite team on 10th October 2012 from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm and deliver following two interesting and captivating talks on 11th October 2012 in the COEP auditorium.

1.” Space Transportation for National Development and various missions planned ahead” 9.30 am to 12.30 pm on 11th October 2012 - Mandatory For TY. B.Tech and FY M.Tech students

2.”Challenges faced by ISRO: successes, failures, and learning “, 2 pm to 5 pm on 11th October 2012 – Mandatory for SY. B.Tech and SY M.Tech students
