COEP Wins the Best Overall Engineering Design Award in SUPRA SAE INDIA 2012
The Team Octane Racing, that represented COEP in SUPRA SAE INDIA 2012 in the formula 1 style racing competition organized by Society of Automotive Engineers India (SAE India) in the Buddh International Circuit has come back with flying colors in the event. The team has won the coveted "Best Overall Engineering Design Trophy".The said award is given to a team based on all design evaluations of sub systems like suspension, steering, aerodynamics etc. and is bagged by the college with the best design and manufactured vehicle.By winning the Best Overall Engineering Design Award COEP have maintained the record of winning at least 1 award in SAE organized events every year since 2007. This season has certainly reiterated the strong position of COEP in SAE events.The event was a national level event which saw participation of 70 colleges from around India and the award is a major achievement for the college. The award consists of trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 20,000. The event was conducted from 6th-9th September, 2012 at Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida, New Delhi.
