Goals
- To be a student centric department, where academics, research, co-curricular activities etc. are pursued with utmost passion and sincerity
- To retain students’ teams motivated and encouraged for award winning participation in competitions like SAE BAJA, SUPRA, Efficycle, Electric solar vehicle championship, TiFAN, Robocon etc.
- To acquire Ph.D. qualification within next two years
- To promote and facilitate resources to faculty for acquiring a dedicated teaching-learning and research culture
- To encourage faculty to undertake consultancy and research projects
- To strengthen associations and establish bonds with outside leading Institutes/Industries. (International students and faculty)
- To establish Centre of Excellence in the areas of Electric mobility, Mechatronics, Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence
- To enhance existing collaboration with Alumni, Society and Industry
Goals for 2025
- To publish 50 papers in peer-reviewed journals
- To established 5 start-ups
- To file 10 patents per year
- To award 30 Doctoral degrees to research scholars
- To establish laboratories for electric mobility, industrial fluid power, vibration and acoustics, composites and automobiles
- To organize 3 short term training programs per year
- To organize 2 conferences
- To achieve 5 R&D grants
- To strive for 100% students’ placement
- To sign 10 Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with industry/institutions/research organizations
