The club organizes A.S.O.C (Amateur Station Operator’s certificate) examination and conducts coaching for the same. The club organizes various workshops based on antenna theory and antenna designing and building, every year in College of Engineering, Pune (COEP) and in other colleges also. The club successfully provides complete communication link during various prestigious events in COEP like Regatta, Mind-spark, Zest, and M.R.A. races held at the COEP Boat Club.
Workshop in Mindspark, COEP:
This workshop is held annually in COEP and every year it proves to be a major success, attracting the largest crowd among all the events. This workshop is free of cost and any person who has a slightest bit of interest in knowing things like how wireless communication actually takes place, how bluetooth works, what makes anything an antenna or any other curiosity can attend this workshop.
Communication Lectures:
The club holds lectures on the basics of communication, transmission and reception of analog and digital information, and basic electronics.
Antenna Designing and Building:
Students of this club design and simulate different kinds of antennas, and also build and mount them. The Yagi antenna designed and constructed by Nandini Waghmare (HAM club member) in satellite group of COEP has been successfully receiving the beacon of the IIT Kanpur satellite- Jugnu.
