Government College of Engineering Pune (COEP) was established in 1854 and is the third oldest engineering institution in Asia, having a glorious legacy of 170 years. CIWGC quota is 5 % of Sanctioned Intake and OCI/PIO/FN quota is 10 % of Sanctioned Intake. There is no designated quota for NRI candidates however if the seat remains vacant from CIWGC and OCI/PIO/FN category, NRI candidate may be get those seats as per inter-se-merit.

Tech of COEP Technological University Pune (COEP Tech), being conducted under the patronage of the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the Admission Regulatory Authority (ARA) of the State Government which is the Common Entrance Test Cell (CET CELL Mumbai) of the Government of Maharashtra.

In COEP Technological University Pune 80 % of Sanctioned / Approved Intake seats are admitted through MHT CET conducted by CET cell, Government of Maharashtra and 20 % of Sanctioned / Approved Intake seats are admitted through JEE Mains (All India (AI))
For example – Mechanical Engineering – Sanctioned / Approved Intake is 150
80 % of 150 = 120 seats are admitted through MHTCET
20 % of 150 = 30 seats are admitted through JEE Mains
