Program Education Objectives (PEOs)

Graduates will:

  1. Excel in higher studies and/or succeed in industry/technical profession exhibiting global competitiveness.

  2. Solve real-life engineering problems exhibiting a solid foundation in mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals.

  3. Demonstrate good scientific and engineering breadth in the design and development of novel and cost-effective products to cater to the needs of the society.

  4. Exhibit professional and ethical outlook, effective communication, teamwork, multidisciplinary approach and an ability to relate engineering issues to broader social context.

  5. Provide ethical and techno-savvy leadership along with socio-economic management skills resulting in a successful professional career.

Program Outcomes (POs)

Graduates will demonstrate:

  1. Knowledge of differential equations, vector calculus, complex variables, matrix theory, probability theory, physics, chemistry and network and EM field analysis of electrical, electronics and communication subjects.

  2. An ability to identify, formulate and solve electrical engineering problems.

  3. An ability to design electrical and electronic circuits and conduct experiments on electrical systems, analyze and interpret data.

  4. An ability to design digital and analog systems and component.

  5. An ability to visualize and work on laboratory and multidisciplinary tasks.

  6. Skills to use modern engineering tools, software and equipment to analyze problems.

  7. Knowledge of professional and ethical responsibilities.

  8. An ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.

  9. The understanding of impact of engineering solutions on the society with awareness of project management and finance related issues.

  10. Confidence for self education and ability for life-long learning.

  11. Ability to participate and succeed in competitive examinations like GATE and/or seek employment in the industry.      

Program Education Objectives (PEOs) for for the MTech Electronics (Digital Systems)

  1. Graduates will be employed in diversified industries and will opt for research by using knowledge and skill set in digital system design domain.

  2. Graduates will work in multi-disciplinary environment and will have the skill to develop electronic systems with the background of architectures and algorithms for signal processing, microelectronics, embedded processors, networking and its advancements.

  3. Graduates will inculcate research culture with abilities to define, analyze, investigate and develop prototype technologies in digital domain ; document their own work for effective utilization and to publish it at national/international level. 

  4. Graduates will have the ability to face challenges in professional practices in consistency with societal needs, environmental factors and adherence to professional ethics which will lead to lifelong learning

Program Outcomes (POs) for for the MTech Electronics (Digital Systems)

  1. Engineering knowledge: An ability to apply the knowledge of science, mathematics, engineering principles for developing problems solving attitude. 

  2. Problem analysis: An ability to analyze, develop and implement solutions built on courses such as system design, signal processing, embedded processors and physical electronics.

  3. Modern tool usage: To develop programming skills for tools such as simulation, synthesis, verification and algorithm approach at chip level, core competencies in semiconductor, ARM for design and implementation.

  4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: To familiarize with industry relevant goals and practices as a final project and compile the findings from therein, alongside defending the analysis of the achieved solution.
